Is there Wi-Fi onsite?
Yes, in and around The Barn, The Retreat and all our accommodation is free Wi-Fi.
Can I charge my phone if I don't book an electrical hookup?
Yes, our summerhouse called ‘The Retreat’ is open 24/7 and equipped with free-to-use electrical plugs to charge phones and other electronics. There is Wi-fi in all our accommodation and communal areas.
Can I store food onsite as a private camper?
We have a communal fridge and freeze for use of all campers on site. All we ask is that you label packaging with your departure date so we can dispose of any left over food.
Can I drink the water on the site?
All water on the site is drinkable. Taps can be located via site map the found outside reception.
What food is available on site? (High Season only)
In the mornings, pastries are available from the campsite café in the Barn. We also stock a small selection of confectionery and soft-drinks. Hot and cold drinks are served throughout the day.
Where's the nearest shop?
Our nearest supermarket is Alliance which is just a few minutes walk along the road. Around 10 minutes walk away is the main shopping area for the north of Guernsey – known as “The Bridge”, where you will find a mix of retail shops, chemists, sandwich shops, coffee shops, take-aways, and much more.
What do I do with my rubbish?
If you’re staying in our hired accommodation, you will have your own bins to sort recycling, food waste and general waste. If you’re a private camper or motorhomer, on check-in you will be given your own bags to separate your waste accordingly.
What onsite entertainment is there?
Onsite we have a boules pitch free for use, two table tables, and a small putting green. Each Thursday in high season, we host a BBQ or Chips & Cheese night. All campers are welcome.
Where's the nearest place to eat?
There are several places to eat which are only around 15 to 20 minutes walk away (or 3 minutes drive).
Can I hire bicycles onsite?
Yes you can. The campsite has a partnership with ‘Go Guernsey’ that has a range of bicycles available. If you would like to rent a bike, please visit reception where we can assist you in ordering and collection.
Where can I catch a bus into St Peter Port?
At the end of the campsite lane is a bus stop. On weekdays, there is a bus every half an hour at 16 minutes past or 47 minutes past the hour from 6 am till 8pm.
Can I buy camping gas onsite?
Unfortunately we do not stock camping gas onsite, however, a local shop called ‘Aladdin’s Cave’ keeps stock.
Can I use a disposable BBQ?
Yes, you can. Just make you exercise proper fire safety and elevate the BBQ off the ground using blocks which can be found by reception.
Can I do laundry on site?
Yes, you can. We have a wash basin specifically reserved for handwashing clothes or a set of washing machines and dryers. To use the machines, please visit reception.
Where can I park?
If you’re in our accommodation, you’re welcome to park outside. If you’ve booked a Safari Tent, please park to the right of your tent. If you’re a private camper, please park within your pitch.
